So, here are finally some photos from our gig in Kuudes Linja. Thanks for everybody who came to see us, the beautiful girls of Burlesque Polaire, and of course to the friendly staff of the club!

We just got a word that the material for the vinyl split we are doing for Skithund Records is on it’s way to be mastered for the vinyl and then off to the press. Things are happening!

So, tomorrow (that’s Thursday the 28th of May) we’ll finally be hitting the stage at Kuudes Linja and we’re happy to tell you the other performers of the evening will be the lovely Burlesque Polaire.

Guys in gasmasks and girls in corsets sounds very appropriate to me. Hope to see you there!

In case you’ve been missing seeing us play live lately, you’re in luck: we’ll be playing at Torture Torstai on 28th of May at Kuudes Linja. We’ll be playing a lot of material from the upcoming vinyl, and we’ll have an expanded lineup with Lin on cello.

The resident DJ’s are Proteus, aQi and ErilaZ, and there might be other fun stuff going on as well, but more on that as things develop.

Tickets are 8 euros. Bring friends. We like friends.

I go by the name “zombah” in the DJ list.

In other news, the guys keep on telling me how to improve the tracks in our upcoming vinyl, so I guess the release is again postponed. But we are still hoping to get it finally released later this year.

…and I used to think I’m the perfectionist in this band :).

This weekend the Latvian industrial community Sturm invades Tampere, Turku and Helsinki in co-operation with Vainohulluus. Today the bands Rosewater, Strops and Gas of Latvia will perform in Tampere’s Vastavirtaclubi, tomorrow in Turku’s Klubi and finally on Sunday in Helsinki at Kuudes linja, accompanied by Tres.

Many thanks for two successful gigs (especially the one in Helsinki ROCKED) to Kirdec, NoCore, Swaeg, Dana and all other involved. On a personal note, in Helsinki I discovered the wonder of attaching packing tape onto guitar strings. Will have to remember that in the future.

And yes, the t-shirts are available on our shows. They’re funky. Available in nearly all sizes, too. Even ladyfit! (Ladyfits? Hmm. No, I don’t think so.)

“Vuoritalo was build 1927 as fire station of Käpylä. Since then house has been in many different use and also outlook has changed several times. At least following action has been there: dance pavillion, kindergarten, even church. Around 80’s/90’s house were squatted by punks, so house were used as musical activity such as practise rooms and gig hall. Later Käpylä seura was going to repair house completely and they made roof. Then they propably ran out of money and house stayed useless for many years, until lease expired in the end of 2001.”

Noise Symposium is the brainchild of mr. Vuorensola, mr. Piirtola and me, mr. Haapanen. Live bands and scene DJs, punk-rockers and electropunks shaking hands in post holocaust sounds. They still talk about the 1st Noise Symposium.

Unfortunately this event is being organized because officials are ending the rental contract. Apparently Helsinki doesn’t want to support underground culture. Although I do understand that it’s not nice to live near a squat which attracts underaged teenagers, people behave there better than in your average bar and there has never been any problems I’ve heard of. Now a lot of underground bands are losing their home. It’s time for the last new memory of Vuoritalo before it’s all over. We decided to go down in style and enjoy it while we can.
