Horror in Slow Motion

Today, I had a nap and celebrated my birthday. Waking up, I, for some reason, had a feeling that a friend of mine, M Dot Strange, has released *something*. I knew that his new film won’t be coming out in ages (neither does mine), but alas! I went to FaceBook, and there it was, shining right into my face: a new album by M Dot Strange.

I wasn’t really even sure that he had released albums, but however, here’s one treat for you. It’s labeled under the style of “DroneCore”, and M Dot himself stated: “Link to my newest instrumental album “Horror in Slow Motion” but beware…listeners have told meh that it is very dark, intense and gloomy… perfect for seasonal affective disorder 0_o” He’s pretty right, this is a hard piece but fits the slush and darkness pretty well.

Download M Dot Strange’s album Horror In Slow Motion here.

For some reason, it reminds me a bit of Älymystö’s old song Poseidon Drowning

Who is M Dot Strange? He’s an interesting filmmaker I’ve met couple of times around the world, and his first feature, We Are The Strange, was picked for Sundance among other pretty cool stuff. Here’s the whole film for you in YouTube (better quality versions available AFAIK on film’s website).
